The Great Commission

By Frank Eiklor and Cecilia Contreras

Lesson 12 Part 1

The New Testament is the full revelation of God's redemptive purposes - the birth, life, death, resurrection and ascension of Jesus Christ.  His total rulership yet awaits the future.  The command to preach this gospel - good news - can be seen from Matthew through Revelation.  For the follower of Jesus, the "Go ye" must always be a  "Go me" in sharing God's love with others - whether across the street or around the world.

The following thoughts attached to the Great Commission—from each of the 27 New Testament books—have enriched my life and my love for the Lord.  I gladly share them with you as together we "Go" to our world with the awesome message that  "He's Alive!"

Don't merely read the key portion of each scripture verse that I quote.  Look up all the references in your Bible so that you get the full meaning of context.  I have used the King James version of the Scriptures except where otherwise noted.
