HE GREAT COMMISSION: ITS CALL, CHARACTER AND COMMITMENT

LESSON 12 (Part 2)

The story of “missions” is not a New Testament theme. It goes all the way back to Abraham’s call to be the father of nations and Israel’s commission to the God’s light to the world. But when Jesus Christ came in fulfillment of prophecy, the Great Commission became the privilege and responsibility of every believer. The gospel is literally “good news”—the historic facts of the birth, life, death and resurrection of Jesus—and His offer of life eternal to all who trust Him as Messiah and Savior.

In Part 1 of this lesson, we began sharing scriptures and thoughts attached to the Great Commission from each of the 27 New Testament books. Part 1 took in Matthew through

Second Thessalonians. We now complete this exciting study—First Timothy through Revelation.

I Timothy 6:11,12           GO-     with a blameless conscience ("flee these things...follow righteousness...Fight
